In Film: Get Him to the Greek

Judd Apatow strikes again, just not as hot.  "Get Him to the Greek" is a half spin-off from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (which was absolutely a great movie, by the way).  Russell Brand is hillarious, Jonah Hill is bumbling, and P. Diddy is surprisingly great!  The whole story is that Jonah Hill, an aspiring music mogul, is trying to get a washed up, drug addicted rock star to the Greek Theater in L.A. for a comeback concert.

The Good: The comedy, of course!  Judd Apatow has a great comedic eye.  P. Diddy's character is amazing, always trying to "Mind-Fuck" people.

The Bad:  I lost attention a few times, due to lulls in the story/action.

The Ugly:  WTF happened to Jonah Hill?!?  I thought he was fat before, but he was kinda funny at least...in this movie, he didn't play a funny part, and he was even fatter!!! Ugh!!

Synopsis:  Rent it, watch it with a bunch of friends or if you just need a good laugh.  If you're a huge fan of the Judd Apatow movies, then go ahead and buy, but don't buy if you just want to own a funny movie.

Mancandy Monday: Phillip Fusco

In Film: Daltry Calhoun

I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time reviewing this movie, mainly because it was awful and I never finished it.  Other than a pretty impressive cast (Johnny Knoxville, Juliette Lewis and Elizabeth Banks), this movie has literally nothing to offer.  It's about a redneck who was kicked out of his home and exiled from his wife and daughter because he was such an idiot, who turns his life around and becomes a sod manufacturer for golf courses.  Yes, that's right...sod manufacturer.  Anyways, don't rent it, don't buy it, don't even watch it if it's free.

In Music: Robyn - Indestructible

Robyn is back with another phenomenal song! If you've been following her Body Talk trilogy, you may have noticed that on the first two parts there is a bonus acoustic track which becomes the first single of the next album.  Indestructible was the acoustic track from part two and is the first single of part three.  The video is a sexy, almost racy, fast-paced throw-down!  Robyn sports a tube outfit with different colored liquids going through it.  A bit strange, but what do you expect from Robyn? Enjoy, and stay tuned for the full album review later this month!
