In Games: Final Fantasy XIII for PS3

The Final Fantasy franchise is probably one of the most notorious gaming legends of all time.  They're newest game in the series is stunning example of what Square Enix can do.  I'll be honest, I haven't played Final Fantasy since it was on the old Playstation, so coming back to the series in this chapter was a tad daunting.  Right off the bat the graphics are unbelievable with the PS3 1080 HD output, but that's to be expected with these games.  The graphics remain incredible through both gameplay and the many cinematics.  The game play itself is comprised of three things.  The "exploration", the battle system and menus.  Exploration is in quotes because you don't really explore much, the paths are pretty much laid out for you.  This is great for beginning players, but the linear gameplay can get extremly boring after doing it over and over.  The battle system is beyond amazing!  It's the much loved time based system with paradigms which allow you to change your team members' roles at will.  Lastly the menus aren't really anything new, but they're extremely well organized and after a few times, you'll find yourself flying through them to change equipment or level your character's skills.  Overall this is a must have game with only a few downsides.  I cannot wait for FFIV online!
